Ixom COVID-19 Update (March 17, 2020)
We want to quickly update you regarding Ixom’s ongoing response to the escalation of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Ixom has had our CEO-led Crisis Team in place for six weeks (since the virus became known) and has two specialist sub committees working on mitigating potential impacts to supply and customers.
Ixom implemented our Pandemic Plan following the establishment of the Crisis Team, and immediate actions at that time included supply chain resilience activities, implementing travel polices and, where required, the quarantine of travelling staff.
The continued escalation of the global situation as well as in the United States has resulted in Ixom now working on the next phases of the Plan, which in addition to the previous activities include preparedness for potential large-scale infection and/or quarantine.
Preparedness is about having operational contingencies established and processes and protocols to protect our essential operations. These elements include more stringent workplace hygiene and behavioural training to reduce the potential for spread and protect employees, customers and suppliers from infection. We have identified key personnel for our critical operations and have remote working provisions in place.
One of Ixom’s core values is to ‘do things safely and with integrity’. As such, Ixom will continue to prioritise the safety and well-being of its employees, customers and suppliers whilst managing any issues which arise.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
